one of my husband's and my most favorite places in nyc is central park. when we lived in the city, we loved getting up to the park for some exercise, a weekend picnic, or just to grab a drink at tavern on the green. time spent there offers a very welcome break from the daily stresses of city life, and it was definitely hard for us to say goodbye to the park when we moved. which is why I was really excited to discover the uk arboretum here in lexington, where today's pictures were taken! though the need for a park and green space is significantly less here than it was in nyc, it's still really nice to have a place to go walk around, away from buildings and (most) people.
I love a good dress, but most days I'm much more of a jeans-and-top girl, and my dark blue rag & bone skinnies (similar, and here) are on constant rotation. for our recent arboretum exploration, I paired the jeans with the most comfortable tank top you'll ever own, a classic plaid blazer (similar, and here), and our caroline necklace in white pearl (truly, a perfect year-round style and color).
